Metal Powder Works Joins Forces with Joe Capone to Expand Reach into Nuclear and Defense Industries
Metal Powder Works is proud to welcome Joe Capone as a Strategic Marketing Consultant. With more than 20 years of experience in metals and metal powder markets, Joe brings deep industry relationships and specialized knowledge that will accelerate MPW's expansion into nuclear energy and defense applications.
Joe brings extensive technical knowledge of spherical and irregular powders including water, gas, and plasma atomised powder; hydride-dehydride (HDH) powders; and crushed and milled powders, and their application in traditional powder metallurgy processes (press and sinter, MIM, thermal spray, filter, CIP/HIP) and advanced manufacturing applications (binder jet, PBF, DED, and cold spray). He has worked with leading companies across medical implants, defense systems, oil & gas, aerospace, nuclear energy, semiconductor, and automotive sectors.
A native of Pittsburgh, Joe began his career as a Qualification Engineer at Westinghouse Nuclear. Following completion of his MBA, he joined AMETEK Process and Analytical Instruments as Strategic Marketing Manager, leading expansion of the company’s products into European and Asian markets as Manager, Marketing & International Sales. Later he transitioned to AMETEK Specialty Metal Products becoming a Director of Market and Product Development, a role in which he was responsible for the company’s global expansion, product development and strategic partnerships. In 2023, he founded JS Capone, LLC, providing strategic marketing consulting services to the metals and metal powder industry.
